Mykhailo Illienko

Biography

Mykhailo Illienko is a Ukrainian film director, screenwriter, and actor born on June 29, 1947, in Moscow. A highly acclaimed artist, he has received numerous honors, including the Academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine and the Laureate of the Oleksandr Dovzhenko State Prize. Illienko's notable career spans film directing and festival organizing, while also serving as a university dean and chairman of the Ukrainian Film Academy.
