Biography

Relja Bašić was a Croatian actor with a career spanning over half a century. He gained recognition for his roles as suave aristocratic villains in historic films about World War II and his iconic portrayal of Mr. Fulir in the cult comedy Tko pjeva zlo ne misli. Bašić also made headlines as a supporter of the Croatian Social Liberal Party, running for office in 1992 parliamentary elections before losing to Nedjeljko Mihanović. He passed away on April 7, 2017, at age 87.
