Biography

Karin Boyd is a German actress and theatre director, born in 1953 in East Berlin. She completed her training at the National Theatre School in Rostock and later at the Music School in East Berlin, before joining the Maxim Gorki Theatre in East Berlin, where she spent ten years. Her breakthrough role came in 1981 as Juliette Martens in the Oscar-winning film Mephisto, marking her entry into the West German theater scene.
