Biography

Joonee Gamboa is a Filipino actor born on August 7, 1936. He began his career as a stage actor with the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) before joining the film industry, encouraged by director Lino Brocka. Gamboa won Best Supporting Actor at the 1977 Metro Manila Film Festival for Burlesk Queen, and has appeared in over 145 films and TV shows throughout his career.
