Kabir Bedi

Biography

Kabir Bedi was born on January 16, 1946, in Lahore, Punjab Province of British India, to a Punjabi Sikh author and philosopher father and an English woman who became a pioneering figure in Tibetan Buddhism. He rose to prominence in the late 1970s with roles in "Sandokhan the Great" and "Thief of Baghdad," before achieving global recognition as the villainous Gobinda in the James Bond film Octopussy. Bedi's career spans three continents, including India, the United States, and Italy.
