Augusto Benedico was a Mexican actor of Spanish origin, born Augusto Pérez Lías on December 20, 1909. He is best known for his television roles in Los ricos también lloran and Destinos: An Introduction to Spanish, as well as appearances in films The Exterminating Angel (1962) and Pedro Páramo (1967). A native of Alicante, Spain, Benedico passed away on January 19, 1992, in Mexico City.
