Biography

Lavrente "Lav" Indico Diaz is a Filipino independent filmmaker and former film critic known for his work in the slow cinema genre. His notable films include Norte, the End of History (2013), which premiered at Cannes, and From What Is Before (2014), which earned him the Golden Leopard at Locarno. He has also received awards for A Lullaby to the Sorrowful Mystery (2016) and The Woman Who Left (2016).
