Chico Lourant

Biography

Chico Lourant was an American actor born Arthur Lourant in 1929, who served in the Korean War before transitioning to a life of travel and music. After working as a trumpet player and later becoming involved with the film industry through an incorrect casting, he began his acting career, primarily playing African roles in Japanese films and TV dramas throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Lourant later worked for an international talent agency before passing away at 86 in Arizona in 2015.
