Biography

Phil Fish is a French Canadian former indie game designer, best known for his work on the 2012 platformer Fez. Born and raised in Quebec, Fish drew inspiration from his childhood with Nintendo games, studying game design at the Montreal National Animation and Design Centre. After Polytron's founding in 2008, Fish's game development career took a dramatic turn with the release of Fez, which received widespread acclaim.
