László Kemény

Biography

László Kemény was a Hungarian actor born in Okány in 1899. He began his career as a member of the Engels Színház during the Tanácsköztársaság era, later studying at the Színhazi Akadémia and becoming a prominent figure in Budapest's theatre scene. After the zsidótörvények took effect in 1938, Kemény continued to act in Budapest's underground theatres before joining the Nemzeti Színház in 1955. He received the Érdemes művész award in 1965.
