Biography

Oscar Saul was a renowned American screenwriter, best known for his adaptation of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire. He began his career in the 1930s, co-writing plays for the Federal Theatre Project and later for Broadway productions like Medicine Show. Saul also ventured into novel writing with The Dark Side of Love in 1974, and made his screenwriting debut in 1944 with Cary Grant's film adaptation of Strange Affair.
