Fine Time Fontayne

Biography

Fine Time Fontayne was born in Wombwell, West Riding of Yorkshire, into a mining family, and began singing and playing at a local folk club under the name Ordinary Seaman Whittle. He transitioned to acting in the 1970s with the Crucible Vanguard Company, later exploring cabaret, community theatre, and radio work. Fontayne's notable roles include Tony in "Butterfly Kiss" (1995) and appearances in "24 Hour Party People" and BBC Radio dramas.
