Charlotte Caffey

Biography

Charlotte Irene Caffey was born on October 21, 1953, and began her musical career playing bass guitar in the early Los Angeles punk band The Eyes. She later joined the Go-Go's in 1978 as guitarist and co-wrote the hit song "We Got the Beat." After the Go-Go's breakup, Caffey led her own band, The Graces, releasing the album Perfect View in 1989, and collaborated with artists including Anna Waronker and Jewel.
