He began his acting career at a young age, debuting in a kabuki production at 5 and taking on the stage name Ichikawa Kamejirō II at 8. Ichikawa has since appeared in notable television dramas like Fūrin Kazan, Ryōmaden, and The 13 Lords of the Shogun, showcasing his versatility in both tachiyaku and onnagata roles.
