Biography

Ralph Clanton was a character actor of film, stage, and television, best known for his portrayal of Comte De Guiche in the 1950 classic Cyrano de Bergerac, opposite José Ferrer's Cyrano. He was a holdover from the original Broadway cast and reprised the role on stage in 1953. Clanton also made appearances on Alfred Hitchcock's TV show, Hallmark Hall of Fame, and played notable roles in The Patriots and Trading Places before his passing in 2002.
