Biography

Barbara Kwiatkowska-Lass was a Polish actress born in 1940 who rose to fame with her debut role in Tadeusz Chmielewski's comedy "Ewa chce spać" (1957). She gained international recognition starring alongside Jean-Louis Trintignant and Alain Delon in films like "La millième fenêtre" and "The Joy of Living". Her personal life was marked by a marriage to film director Roman Polanski, whom she divorced in 1962.
