Isamu Kosugi

Biography

Isamu Kosugi was a Japanese actor and film director born in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture on February 24, 1904. He gained prominence with roles in critically acclaimed realist films of the 1930s, including Tomu Uchida's "Jinsei gekijō" and Tsuchi", as well as a German-Japanese co-production, "Atarashiki tsuchi". After World War II, he transitioned to directing at Nikkatsu, working on comedy series and action films starring Jō Shishido.
