Lois Andrews was a talented American actress who began her career in film at just 19 years old, starring as the comic strip character Dixie Dugan in 1943's "Dixie Dugan." She went on to appear in notable films such as "The Desert Hawk" (1950) and "Meet Me After the Show" (1951), often working with her husband George Jessel, a producer who played a significant role in her early career. Andrews' personal life was marked by multiple marriages and a short-lived battle with lung cancer.
