James Richard Black, born April 3, 1962, in Lima, Ohio, was a standout athlete at Dover High School before attending college football at Akron. As a senior in 1983, he led the Ohio Valley Conference in rushing and set multiple school records for his achievements. After playing professionally for two years with the Cleveland Browns, Black pursued his passion for acting, making notable appearances in films like "Lethal Legacy" and "The Preacher's Son".
