Biography

Yasmin Ponnappa is an Indian model and actress from Bangalore, known for her early work in Thiagarajan Kumararaja's Tamil gangster film Aaranya Kaandam (2011). She began her career as a model in Bangalore before shifting to Mumbai to seek better opportunities. Yasmin was also shortlisted for the role of Latika in Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire (2008), although she ultimately didn't secure the part, which went to Freida Pinto.
