John Walker Motson was a renowned English football commentator, beginning his career at the BBC in 1971. He became synonymous with live television commentary, earning a distinctive trademark look featuring a sheepskin coat, which he wore during winter months and later throughout his career. A legendary voice behind some of football's most iconic moments, Motson retired from live commentary in 2008 before announcing his final return to the sport with Talksport in 2017.
