Burnam Burnam was an Aboriginal Australian sportsman, activist, actor, and author born at Wallaga Lake in southern New South Wales. He was a Woiworrung and Yorta Yorta man who changed his name to "Great Warrior" after his grandfather's death in 1976. Burnum Burnum is known for his appearances on TV shows like Late Night Live with Phillip Adams, sharing the brutal realities of the assimilation policy that shaped his early life.
