Safiya Kaygin is a German-Turkish popschlager singer and songwriter born in Gaziantep, Turkey, who lost her mother at three and grew up in Germany. After training as an optician, she pursued music, writing and composing her own songs, which often convey inner division, courage to change, and self-empowerment.
