Rosie Flores

Biography

Rosie Flores is a Texas-based rockabilly, blues, and country musician born Rosalie Flores on September 10, 1950. She began singing as a child, playing guitar at age 6, and formed her first band, Penelope's Children, in high school. In the 1980s, Flores played the San Diego nightclub circuit and was part of the alt country/cowpunk band Rosie and the Screamers. Her contributions were recognized with "Rosie Flores Day" in Austin, Texas, in 2006.
