Tahiya Carioca was a renowned Egyptian belly dancer and film actress born on February 22, 1915, in Ismaïlia. After experiencing physical and emotional abuse from her half-brother, she found refuge with artist Souad Mahasen in Cairo, where she eventually gained employment at the nightclub. Her talent earned recognition, and Tahiya's career flourished, with notable appearances in films like "Alexandria: Again and Forever" (1989).
