Youn Yuh-jung is a South Korean actress born on June 19, 1947. She rose to prominence with the film Woman of Fire in 1971 and later returned to acting after marrying and immigrating to the US, before gaining international recognition for her role in Minari (2020), becoming the first Korean actress to win an Academy Award. Known as the "Godmother of Chungmu-ro," she has appeared in numerous notable films and television dramas throughout her career.
