Tomoko Naniwa was a Japanese actress born on February 13, 1909, in Okuma, Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture. She debuted at 17 and married director Tomo Nishimura at 24; after the war, she focused on supporting roles as geisha or servant girl. Notable performances include Okubo's Wife in "The Only Son" (1936) and her role as a mother in "One Son" (1937), directed by Yojirō Ishizaki.
