Peter Mel

Biography

Peter Mel is a professional surfer born on November 24, 1969, in Santa Cruz, California. He began surfing at a young age and went on to win the Big Wave World Tour Championship in 1998, crowning him champion of the Billabong Pico Alto Invitational. Mel also appeared in films such as "Chasing Mavericks" and has worked as a broadcaster for the World Surf League.
