Biography

Robert John Christo, a civil engineer of Australian and Indian descent, transitioned into acting in Bollywood films. He began his career with roles as a non-Indian henchman or Army General in over 200 Hindi films in the 1980s and 1990s, including "Mr. India". Introduced to Bollywood through actress Parveen Babi, Christo constructed jungle palaces for Francis Ford Coppola before landing his breakthrough role in "Abdullah".
