Mari Somei is a Japanese actress known for her roles in several notable films and videos. Her most prominent film credit is Akemi in "Flower and Snake: Sketch of Hell" (1985), where she played the titular character. She also appeared in 1988's "The Guinea Pig: Manhole Tunnel Girl", playing the mermaid role that marked her final on-screen appearance before disappearing from the industry.
