Caterina Murino is an Italian actress born on September 15, 1977, in Cagliari, Sardinia. She began her acting career in 1999 with stage productions of Richard III and Italian-language plays, later making her breakthrough in the French film Il bandito corso (2004) opposite Jean Reno. Murino gained international fame playing Solange Dimitrios in Casino Royale (2006), for which she received a European Golden Globe Award.
