Suresh Oberoi was born on December 17, 1946 in Quetta, Baluchistan, British India to Anand Sarup Oberoi and Kartar Devi. He is a recipient of the 1987 National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor and appeared in notable films such as Namak Halaal (1982), Mirch Masala (1987) and Kanoon Kya Karega (1984). He is also the father of actor Vivek Oberoi.
