Pēteris Liepiņš was a Latvian actor and TV host born on May 28, 1943, in Ērgļi. He began his acting career at the Dailes teātra after graduating from the Latvijas konservatorijas Teātra fakultāti in 1971. A comedic and grotesque theater specialist, he appeared in notable films such as "Pūt, vējiņi" (1973) and "Rūgtais vīns" (2007). Liepiņš received several awards for his work, including the Edgara Liepiņa balva in 2002.
