Biography

Jari Litmanen is a Finnish former professional footballer widely regarded as Finland's greatest player of all time. He was the first-choice captain of the Finland national team from 1996 to 2008 and was chosen as the best Finnish player of the last 50 years in 2003. Litmanen is also known as "Kuningas" ("The King") in Finland, a nickname he earned in his early years. He was inducted into the Finnish Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
