Biography

Robert Breer was a pioneering American experimental filmmaker and artist, born in Detroit in 1926. He began his career as a painter, but later transitioned to filmmaking, experimenting with abstract and representational techniques. His films combined hand-drawn rotoscoping, original footage, and other materials, often blurring the lines between art and reality.
