Biography

Sarika Thakur, known mononymously as Sarika, is an Indian actress and costume designer born on December 5, 1960, in New Delhi to a family of Marathi and Rajput descent. She began her acting career at the age of 5 and won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in Parzania (2005). Sarika also received the National Film Award for Best Costume Design for Hey Ram (2001) before making a comeback in Hindi films after separating from her husband.
