Dorothy Comingore was a stage and film actress known for her breakout role as Susan Alexander Kane in Orson Welles' critically acclaimed debut film Citizen Kane (1941). Her acting career was cut short by the Hollywood blacklist in 1951, forcing her to decline questioning from the House Un-American Activities Committee in 1952. Born Margaret Louise Comingore on August 24, 1913, she spent most of her childhood in Oakland, California.
