Noboru Mitani was a Japanese actor and voice actor born on April 9, 1932, in Hiroshima Prefecture. He began his career as an actor in the 1950s and joined the esteemed theater company, "Gekidan Haisu," at the age of 29 after a near-fatal car accident left him partially blind. Mitani's prolific career spanned over five decades, with notable roles in films like Akira Kurosawa's "Dodes'ka-den" (1970) and television dramas such as "The Guardaman."
