Mariya Smolnikova

Biography

Maria Smolnikova was born on December 17, 1987, in Yekaterinburg, Russia, and began acting at a young age with roles in the Youth Theatre in Nizhny Novgorod. After three unsuccessful attempts, she graduated from the prestigious GITIS theatre academy in 2011 after being accepted into its pilot course. Her breakthrough role came in Fyodor Bondarchuk's film "Stalingrad" (2013), where she played Katya.
