Fumiyo Ikeda

Biography

Fumiyo Ikeda is a Japanese dancer, actress, and choreographer born in Osaka, Japan, who began ballet at ten. She studied at Mudra, the Brussels dance school founded by Maurice Béjart, and joined Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker's dance company Rosas in 1983. Ikeda collaborated on numerous Rosas productions and later became a choreographer, creating works such as Nine Finger, which premiered in 2007.
