Jennifer Michelle Lee is a renowned American filmmaker and playwright born on October 22, 1971, in Barrington, Rhode Island. As the writer and director of Frozen (2013) and its sequel, she made history as the first female CCO of Walt Disney Animation Studios, earning an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and directing two films over $1 billion at the box office. She returned to full-time filmmaking after stepping down from her CCO role in 2024.
