Jacques Rigaut
Biography
Jacques Rigaut was a French surrealist poet born in Paris, associated with the Dadaist movement. His works often explored themes of suicide, which he came to regard as his occupation. A tragic figure, Rigaut tragically took his own life at 30 in 1929. His legacy has been referenced in various literary and cinematic works, including Pierre Drieu la Rochelle's book Le Feu Follet and Louis Malle's film The Fire Within.
