Betty Segal
Biography
Betty Segal was a Jewish-Polish-Israeli actress and singer born in Vilna, Lithuania in 1916. She survived the Holocaust by being deported to Riga's ghetto and later escaping to Lódz, where she met her future husband, Israel Segal, who lost his wife Miriam during the war. The couple immigrated to America with their son after the 1949 Aliyah, eventually settling in Tel Aviv, where Betty began performing at the Mabat Theater.
