Jim South was a prominent figure in America's adult entertainment industry, operating his own agency, World Talent Modeling, which supplied talent to the industry for over 25 years. In 1976, he founded the agency, initially focusing on fashion modeling before expanding into adult content. However, his success was marred by controversy surrounding underage model Traci Lords, who had been represented by South's agency and subsequently exposed as a minor in illegal pornographic films.
