Dennis Coffey, a Detroit-born guitarist and producer, was a key member of Motown's legendary group of session musicians, The Funk Brothers. His distinctive guitar work can be heard on iconic tracks like "Cloud Nine," "Ball of Confusion (That's What the World Is Today)," and Edwin Starr's "War." In 1971, he scored a Top 10 hit with his instrumental single "Scorpio," showcasing his versatility as a musician.
