Kosan Yanagiya

Biography

Kosan Yanagiya was a renowned Japanese entertainer and swordswoman. He began his career as an apprentice to the fourth generation of the popular Yukata Troupe, where he adopted the stage name "Small San" (also known as Kosan Yanagiya). After serving in the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II, Yanagiya became a successful actor and comedian, including a notable role as the owner of a noodle shop in the 1971 film "Tora-san, the Good Samaritan."
