Biography

Tran Nu Yen Khe is a French-Vietnamese actress and artist, born in Hanoi, North Vietnam in 1968. She has appeared in all films by her director husband Tran Anh Hung, including Scent of the Green Papaya, Cyclo, and Vertical Ray of the Sun. Her visual art practice has gained recognition, with her work Borderline (2018) being acquired by Musée Guimet in 2019, making history as the first contemporary artwork from Southeast Asia to be included in French National Collections.
