Sakae Umezu

Biography

Sakae Umezu was a Japanese film and television actor born on July 5, 1928, in the former town of Pokoto, now part of Asahitown, in Toyama Prefecture. He graduated from Toyama Industrial High School and began his acting career in the 1950s, later becoming known for his versatility in playing various roles, including comedic and serious characters. Umezu's notable performances include his role as Inugami Kentarô in "A-hômansu" (1986). He passed away on August 6, 2016, at age 88 due to liver cirrhosis.
