Al Ruban

Biography

Al Ruban collaborated with John Cassavetes early in his career, serving as a camera assistant on Shadows (1958) and handling editing duties for Faces over two years. He has also worked extensively behind the camera, directing photography on films such as A Woman Under the Influence (1974), The Killing of a Chinese Bookie (1976), and Love Streams (1984). Ruban's work spans numerous roles in production, direction, and editing, with notable credits including Husbands (1970) and Opening Night (1977).
