Ray Szmanda

Biography

Raymond Jack "Ray" Szmanda, Sr. was a renowned American radio and television announcer born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 22, 1926. He gained widespread recognition as the spokesperson for Menards, starring in numerous ads from 1976 until his retirement in 1998, later making occasional appearances with the company starting in 1999. Szmanda's career also included stints at KDFW-TV and Trans-American School of Broadcasting.
